  • One of mankindís greatest impediments to progress is our propensity to think of trivial matters as grave, and grave matters as trivial.

  • Doubt is only the awakening of scientific thought.

  • Many avoid knowing themselves because they believe that their lives are not like an open book, but more like a book that is kept closed because it is thought to be poorly written.

  • The greatest obstruction to doing something that seems undoable is the belief that the task cannot be done by us.

  • We live most of our lives seeking control of our lives, or deluding ourselves that we already have it; but control will never exist because there are too many variables beyond our control. All that we can do is influence those uncontrollable factors to minimize their negative effects, and to maximize their positive effects.

  • Few things will endure as long as an untruth that canít be refuted while satisfying the longings of the majority.

  • Believing that something is entirely free is the result of faulty personal accounting.

  • WHO AM I?

  • I may be rejected because of my religion, but that is not what I am.

  • I may be rejected because of my ancestors, but that is not what I am.

  • I may be rejected because of my age, but that is not what I am.

  • I may be rejected because of my gender, but that is not what I am.

  • I may be rejected because of my accent, but that is not what I am.

  • I may be rejected because of my lack of intelligence, but that is not what I am.

  • I may be rejected because of my lack of education, but that is not what I am.

  • For we are all vessels bearing cargos of great beauty that can only be known by taking the time to discover one another, and can never be known by those that just sail by, believing that they already know who we are.
